When recording direct, I use the BB preamp for leads, and the RC Booster for cleaner tones in front of an effects processor/cab simulator. Both of them add the response and sound quality that direct recording devices lack by themselves. Whether in the studio, or in live performances, xotic effects are a great addition to any guitarist`s arsenal.
